9-Panel Story Quilt Weya Village. Each panel shows beautiful craft work, combining embroidery, appliques, bead work and other materials and objects. Each quilt tells a different story of village life. This art of the women of rural Zimbabwe provides income for sometimes an entire community. There are few jobs; the land is poor; the men go to the city. Their ability to sell their work created a broader role for women in the community.
